Can you solo oculus heroic
Healers had to be quick with dispels before the player died or became too crippled to contribute. When you enter the south portal, Moorabi is the first boss. Gundrak steeped us in glorious trollness: altars, caves full of bones, vine-draped statues, and a giant snake that was never explained. The centerpiece of the dungeon is a bridge over an underground lake of carnivorous fish. Four statues representing the four Drakkari gods face one another in the middle. Someone who murdered their own god is probably not someone you want to cross, but Azeroth asks much of its heroes.
He charges around, stomps to knockback everyone near him, summons rhino spirits to smash into players, and impales you on his spear. Share the Love required patience from your DPS and massive healing. As a Titan creation, Halls of Lightning and its sister dungeon, Halls of Stone, share the Ulduar aesthetic: majestic hallways filled with beautiful but alien devices.
Constructs, elementals, iron dwarves, iron giants, and iron vrykul the Titans really liked iron populate the dungeon. He had an ability that dealt massive nature damage to anyone within 20 yards and another that dealt greater nature damage the farther away you were. So you had to know when to stack on him and when to run away. Titanium Vanguards had a big knockback. There were also several patrols, so your party could quickly find itself overwhelmed with adds. They respawned quickly and endlessly, so your group had to pull them all and exit the other side of the room, then AOE them all down.
Tanks had to get aggro on all of them, pop cooldowns, and pray. In an expansion famous for its easy Heroic dungeons, Halls of Lightning stood out as one of the few that required more than a mindless, speed-clear zerg. Utgarde Pinnacle is remarkable in its use of environment.
Every boss is tied to — and makes use of — its location in the dungeon. Svala Sorrowgrave ties one of your party members to her altar and attempts to sacrifice them to the Lich King. You have to kill the adds and free the sacrificee before a slowly descending sword impales them. Gortok Palehoof waits in a trophy room. The trophies come to life randomly one by one until you finally fight Gortok himself.
Skadi the Ruthless takes to the skies on his mount, Grauf. You have to loot harpoons from the adds and use the harpoon guns on the balcony to bring him down. King Ymiron stuns your party and rushes over to one of the four longboats in his hall.
He absorbs the spirit of the fallen vrykul laid to rest within the boat and becomes more powerful. Reward yourself. Most achievements have a hint about what you need to do to unlock them but there are also a few hidden achievements that you can discover through exploring!

Use your macro and start spamming key 2 or whatever you have bound there Stop Time spell. Once you get mounted you will stop time this way engaging the boss before the bomb one shots him. You can't attack with Shock Lance because you won't be in range, and you will have like one second to get into the fight before bomb reaches him, so Stop Time is the option since it has much bigger radius.
So 2 Days more! Comment by Nythadean As a Demon Hunter at level with Mythic Antorus gear, what I did was: 1 - Stay at max range for Throw Glaive on Eregos on the platform 2 - Use the mount 3 - Wait for 1 second for the mount to land 4 - Cast Throw Glaive just before the mount picks you up 5 - Throw Glaive crits Eregos for around 11 million damage double his max hp , killing him when you're on your mount 6 - Profit. Comment by Kaiani As of Legion Patch 7. Instead try Kil'jaeden's Burning Wish from a distance as it has about 80 yard range.
More than double of any other range spell. This should give you more than enough time to mount up your Drake and get the Achievement. As soon as Crackling Jade Lightning changes colour to be in range, use a Mecha-Blast Rocket, then activate Rushing Jade Wind, then use the Essence drake item to mount up and immedately fly into the boss.
Using either on on it's own didn't work for me. Comment by mRshykid As a druid, use Balance spec and do the following: 1. Use Incarnation: Chosen of Elune talent.
Use mount. As soon as you click on the mount, start spamming Starsurge mash it hard. You could create a macro but it's really not necessary. The boss dies and you get credit for the kill. Good luck! If the boss has a DoT on it when you mount, it bugs and vanishes. Back to finding friends! Comment by Abracadaverz DH. Just toggle it at the start and you barely even need to dismount from the drake.
Just go close to things and they die :. Used a similar mechanic to using the Mecha-blast rocket trick, except using Judgement instead so no need to purchase from AH. Stand as far away from but in front of Eregos on the platform. Use Judgement a. Mount the drake of your desire immediately. Either have to rely on a crit to one-shot Eregos or tune your damage to almost kill him then finish off with the drake.
Comment by Halfdeadone As of 8. I Tried several abilities using the trick of calling the drake, then casting an ability before the drake picked me up and replaced my regular attacks with its own.
The only one that worked for me on my Shaman was fire elemental, as it stayed out attacking the boss while I was on the dragon mount. Other abilities either didn't do enough damage, or caused the boss to despawn. Oddly, I ticked completed the emerald void achievement, while simultaneously lighting up the emerald drake part of this one.
Comment by Nyxem 8. Comment by bonbom1 If you are a warrior you can solo this by casting drake, activating bladestorm and flying to the boss. Comment by Marwenpala If you are still missing this achievement, don't worry anymore.
There is now an new way, to get it very very easily. Mount up on your desired drake and just fly into the boss. Your Laser Matrix will activate anytime soon and just kill the boss. Just couldn't get it done. As i was trying the red button trinket, i just fell over this neat way by accident, as the trinket didnt work, i mounted up and wanted to kill the boss just by using my drake abilities.
As soon i was near him, my matrix activated and blasted him to phase 2. Back in phase 1, it activated again after few seconds and killed him. Comment by Zaturos Hey guys I just did this on a warlock lvl I used chaos bolt and used the drake right away I got all void drake achievements AND got credit for riding one is there a reason why I was given credit?
Comment by Sugrax If you happen to be a warlock just cast Chaos Bolt from longest distance possible and then immediately jump on your drake. Comment by suburbanmisfits As of 8. I did this by popping beserk on my troll Balance Druid and casting three solar wraths before immediately summoning the drake.
Comment by poosha Trying this for a while without any luck, but figured out a way. Being on my hunter, i swapped spec to survival, fired off my Amber drake, and the second before i mounted, i shot off a Serpent Sting, making Eregos bleed out pretty fast, then i fired my "1" drake ability when he was almost dead, and finally got the achievement.
Comment by Edisd Was trying to get this achieve on my geared Survival Hunter on an emerald drake. Tried wildfire bomb, but the bomb disappears when I mount the drake, tried firing off a serpent sting, then instantly mounting the drake before i got in combat, then I tried kiting the boss but it wasn't enough damage.
I finally managed to do enough damage by putting down a turnip punching bag, using coordinated assault, getting 5 stacks of the azerite trait blur of talons, using heroism, then using serpent stinging and mounting before combat. Comment by Glorogar As of 8. Looks like the drake abilities are scaling now. Comment by Noodlah You dont need to do anything tricky or go with lower lvl character to get this achivement. Since 8. Take your character, doesnt need to remove gears or anything, doesnt need to do anything tricky like using your skills and then fast use of the dragons before the skill lauchned to the dragon Use your dragon before the boss, target him, hit of the dragons skills and repeat that for 3 days and the achivement will be yours Dont forget to keep tracking which dragon you used so you dont miss more days GL.
He barely does any damage to the drake. Comment by matrixenforcer I just finished up this achievement on the Emerald Drake.
It was real easy, just keep the leeching poison up on the boss and he dies in like 2 minutes due to the phase shifting. At least on the Emerald Drake, there is no need to do any kind of pre-battle item usage or ability prior to engaging the boss at It has been so long since I did the other two drakes that I can't remember how I did them.
It might have been in a group in Wrath. Comment by Themez At level MM hunter, the macro mentioned before worked for me, but instead of black arrow I used arcane shot, just use the mounting item first then asap use the macro, I needed a several tries because I needed arcane shot to crit, if you dont crit, just hop off your dragon and feign death and repeat.
Comment by MadameDarkness The drakes still scale as of 8. Simply burned the boss down with drake spells, quick and easy! Comment by Serenesh As a hunter, this is what you've to do: 1. Mount and immediately execute 2. Keep casting Barbed Shot until it goes off Tick damage will kill Eregos while you're mounted.
Repeat everyday for each drake. Comment by Thulfikar The drakes scale, so at the boss is not a threat at all, there's no reason to try anything fancy and risk wasting an attempt. Make sure you're on the drake when Eregos dies.
If someone dies, have them release and run back. They can catch up. Be prepared to attempt this run several times, over the course of many days. If one person in the group fails, the entire group will fail. Take your time deciding who will use what drakes. Once everyone knows what their drake assignments are, mark someone to lead the way through the instance.
Alright, first things first. AFTER the first boss dies, the instance becomes a race. The moment he dies the timer starts. It is recommended to have your bags open and a clear spot for the drake trinket to go so you can hotkey or put it on your action bar somewhere for easy access.
Though the drakes spawn randomly, in the run in the video above, here is a screen shot of where the drakes that needed to be killed were located. A little additional information about this image. Yes, I did circle a Ruby drake. Yes, practically all of them are circled at this platform. That is because there is a bug where some will aggro and not despawn after the fight ensuring a wipe. During the Make It Count run that I actually did, that is what happened.
Luckily, we were fortunate to have made excellent time up to that point that the two minute recovery did not hinder us and we still had about 4 or 5 minutes when we got to Eregos.
Eregos himself only takes about 3 minutes to kill. It is suggested to allow 5 minutes for the fight. If someone dies, it adds time onto the kill. Pretty straight forward achievement. Since Prince Keleseth summons ghoul minions it is very tempting to let them come to the boss and AOE everything down.
Single target the boss, and win. This instance has a four achievements that are a bit more complex but still excruciatingly easy. Sounds easy enough. The only thing to keep in mind is you have two shots. Pull either one. Simply position the hulk in the center of the platform and kill the adds. Make sure the Hulk is centered when the sword hits bottom so that she kills it.
First, to clear up confustion, Grauf is the proto-drake. Both of these achievements can be done at the same time fairly easily. What you will need: 5 harpoons, obtained during the gauntlet event.
You will need three players to pick these up, no more than two per player as the GCD on launching the harpoons would otherwise make the third miss due to the timing. Skadi will mount Grauf and fly up into the air. Ignore him for the time being. Who cares if he comes into range of the harpoons? At the moment, no one. Do the gauntlet as normal, picking up the harpoons.
Once all five harpoons have been obtained, everyone runs back to the previous room, thus resetting the gauntlet event and the boss. Once the boss resets, everyone needs to hurry back out into the gauntlet area and make their way down to the end before Skadi respawns. One person then will go aggro the boss. This should have only taken perhaps one minute up to this point. Guess what this means! The gauntlet is over! Now the normal adds spawn. Tank and spank those as normal, keeping the three that have the harpoons near their respective launchers, avoiding the frost trails.
When Skadi is in range of the launchers, everyone launch their harpoons. Only takes a few seconds. Skadi will now land since Grauf has been killed. Tank and spank the boss, avoid the whirlwind, and win. Both achievements in one go! Massive DPS is all you need. He will cast Bane after each phase. Since the phases occur on percentages, you can burn him down before he casts bane, making this a very fast fight. If he does manage to cast Bane, all DPS needs to stop immediately, including the tank.
These achievements are a pain. No AoE. The only problem I see with this is the current bug where the portal in front of Lavanthor that has the guardian fall through the floor thus becoming unkillable and adds continuously spawning. This achievement cannot be obtained the same run as Dehydration. Or at least it would be unlikely that you get both, but it IS possible.
Of course it IS possible to dps them all down, but since they land randomly it might be easier to just use the crystals. You will need to do this three times for each of the three changes, and thus three different crystals.
Make note of them when you go into the instance yourself. You have now attained Glory of the Hero! With it comes your nifty red proto-drake! This achievement rewards the Red Proto Drake mount. Respect Your Elders This achievement is a little technical. Warriors: Will do nothing but attempt to hit you in the face, regardless of spec. Rogues: See warriors. Shamans: Resto shamans will heal.
Enhance shamans will run up and hit you in the face. Paladins: Tank and ret pallies will smack you in the face. These are annoying as all sin. Make sure your pallies have dual spec and make them go ret or prot, it does not matter which. Priests: Disc, I assume, will bubble all their friends and heal. Shadow will do nothing but mind flay you.
Holy will spam heals. Mages: Nothing of concern. If they have blast wave they could annoy you. Warlocks: See mages. Death knights: See warriors. Druids: Boomkins will boomkin you. Trees will heal the group and piss you off. Feral, regardless of cat or bear spec, will turn into a night-elf cat Regardless of side , and try to eat you. Azjol-Nerub Watch Him Die There are two ways to do this achievement, both are extremely heal intensive.
Hadronox Denied There are a number of ways to attain the achievement. Caverns of Time: The Culling of Stratholme There are two achievements in this instance, both fairly simple. I have included a map to help with some visual reference points. Recommended tank would be a Paladin and a healer with instant heals. Consumption Junction Trollgore is the big ugly troll at the top of the stairs, and the first real boss in the instance. Oh Novos! Better Off Dred This achievement made me sad.
Gundrak Depending on where you start, being that this instance has two entrances, will determine which achievements you start out with. Less-Rabi This achievement is one of the hardest of all the Heroics. What the Eck? Share the Love This achievement is technical. Lightning Struck General Bjarngrim is the first boss in the instance. Shatter Resistant This seems a little difficult to understand. Halls of Stone Halls of Stone. Abuse the Ooze This achievement is fairly simple.
The Nexus The Nexus has a few achievements that are heal-heavy and require some coordination before you get started, but they are otherwise relatively easy. Split Personality This achievement is fairly straight forward. Chaos Theory Pain. First step, clear ALL trash around the platform. You can approach this boss from two entrances to the Rift. These are marked X and Y. The Oculus Firstly, I hate this instance. Experienced Drake Rider Just as it says.
Drake abilities change, and you have time to learn them because you wil be doing voids anyway.
