Who owns affordable living homes

OMG, I can't believe that they have been so terrible. Doesn't make for a pleasant building experience. I would take it to A current affair or something once your house is finished and see how many others come out with the same sort of experience.

Make sure you document everything, every phone call, and keep every e-mail and any communication. Good luck with it all, I hope it goes as smooth as it can. Hopefully they took in what your dad said, and do the right thing. Need to figure out how keystart will work if I just purchase the land now though I am feeling very paranoid about all these builders after this experience.

Just hope it goes smoothly.. I wish you all the best of luck. I wish it will all go smoothly. Building a new Home should be a pleasant experience and should be stress free. I could be wrong about that - maybe someone else on here knows a bit more about the rules than me..? Good luck with everything Gez85 I am sure everything will be fine once the building starts. We also have a small cottage block in Aveley. Yes we were pretty restricted with what could fit on.

In the long run I think you will have a very good investment there for the future. Best of luck with your build, whoever you end up going with You're going to get good and bad builders no matter who you go with. I'm with Aussie Living myself and have nothing but good things to say about them. But there's probably people out there who hated their build with Aussie. Same with S1im0nds, or PD or whoever the builder is. My advice is to read everything, and ask a billion questions.

Hi all, My fiance and I went to Affordabale Living Homes and after talking to the sales rep there, we signed up for house and land package.

Signed the form that says we cannot change the structure of the building anymore and the prelim document. After a few days, we are not happy anymore with them for various reasons, mainly the reviews and the attitude of the company. I called the sales manager and told him I want to pull out for personal reasons, he asked me what that personal reason is.

I told him it IS a personal reason and he pushed further: I need to know that personal reason. He was very rude. I told him my company cannot grant me full time employment anymore. So he asked me for a written proof from my company that I have no full time work which is fine because HR are my friends. Then the sales manager asked me to come in and run through "things" on Tuesday.

He asked me if I want them to cancel the land too and I said no because I want to keep the land. I just don't want to build with them anymore. I spoke to the sales rep today and asked about the deposit. He said I will not get my deposit back because in the documents that we signed, it states that the deposit is non-refundable.

Well, he did not give me any document copies until today. When I asked about them, he said it will take 3 weeks to prepare them so now we have nothing for reference like what we signed, what are the rules and stuff like that.

And from the posts that I read from there, someone was told he will get sued by Affordable Living Homes if he went with another builder. And I also read other stories about you guys getting your deposit back. What can I do to get my deposit back and avoid lawsuit? I am very scared. Please help me.
